Not playing games: Onstage with Stephen Totilo
We’re looking for three college journalists to be part of a keynote presentation at NYC18. On Friday, March 9, you can interview the editor-in-chief of Kotaku, gaming’s most award-winning news site.
You’ll sit onstage in front of 1,000 NYC18 attendees and question Stephen Totilo, the Columbia j-school grad who covered video games for MTV and The New York Times before leading Kotaku into some controversial territory – from being blacklisted by game publishers to covering harassment in games journalism.
You can ask Totilo philosophical questions about covering gaming or greedy questions like, “How do I kill you and take your job?” Up toy you. But to land this unpaid and nerve-wracking gig, you need to apply. It’s easy, though. Just fill out the form below.
Winners will be chosen by the judges for the Kunkel Awards, the only journalism awards for video game journalism.
Submission deadline wass 11:59:59 Friday, Feb 16 (deadline was extended from Feb. 9). Winners will be notified Feb. 22.
